7:50 a.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on a white Nissan Rogue on Norris Square; proper action advised.

8:10 a.m. Officer conducted a walk-through business check on Andersonville Highway; property checked okay.

11:59 a.m. Officer conducted a business check on Acuff Lane; property checked okay.

12:11 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet Corvette on Andersonville Highway; written warning issued.

2:45 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement in the school zone.

4:03 p.m. Officer conducted extra patrol on Powerhouse Way; property checked okay.

8:12 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Andersonville Highway; property checked okay.

9:30 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on Andersonville Highway; warning issued.

10:10 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Chestnut Drive; property checked okay.

10:45 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Acuff Lane; property checked okay.

Wednesday, September 15

1:50 a.m. Officer conducted a business check on Sycamore Place; property checked okay.

2:05 p.m. NPD responded to a vehicle fire on Cross Pike Road. The incident was handled by another agency.

2:12 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement in the school zone.

2:20 p.m. Norris Police and Fire were paged out to a business on Andersonville Highway after receiving a commercial fire alarm. Police arrived on scene and made contact with staff, who were able to confirm the alarm was accidental. Fire personnel were canceled.

2:52 p.m. Norris officers located a disabled vehicle at the intersection of East Norris Road and Andersonville Highway. The driver checked okay and was able to add fuel to his truck and clear the roadway.

8:32 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Sawmill Road; property checked okay.

8:53 p.m. NPD conducted stationary observation on Powerhouse Road.

9:19 p.m. A Norris officer checked an unattended vehicle parked in the lower parking area of Norris Dam after hours. The vehicle owner could not be located, and a check of the truck turned up no stolen record. The information was logged.

9:20 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on a black Volkswagen in the parking lot at Norris Dam. The driver was given a verbal warning and agreed to leave the area, as it was after hours.

Thursday, September 16

7:35 a.m. Complainant called NPD to advise that a school bus had hit a deer at East Norris Road and Pine Road. NPD responded to the scene, but the bus driver did not want to speak to an officer.

5:53 p.m. Officer conducted extra patrol on Powerhouse Way; property checked okay.

Friday, September 17

2:02 a.m. A Norris officer stopped on Lower Clear Creek Road to check a passenger car pulled off the roadway. Both subjects advised they had pulled over to sleep since they had no home. After everyone checked out okay, the subjects agreed to find safer sleeping arrangements and left the area.

8:00 a.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on Norris Square; no violations observed.

10:47 a.m. Officer conducted a walk-through business check on Ridgeway Road; property checked okay.

12:20 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on East Norris Road; no violations observed.

1:08 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on Dairy Pond Road; no violations observed.

1:52 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on Reservoir Road; no violations observed.

2:45 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement in the school zone.

5:06 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on Powerhouse Way; verbal warning issued.

5:18 p.m. NPD responded to a report of suspicious activity behind Andersonville Crossing, but the vehicles were gone on arrival.

7:09 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Sycamore Place; property checked okay.

9:00 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Sawmill Road; property checked okay.

10:15 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Chestnut Drive; property checked okay.

Saturday, September 18

11:18 a.m. NPD received a walk-in complaint of a missing juvenile from the soccer fields located in the Norris commons. The juvenile was quickly located in an area adjacent to the soccer fields.

12:04 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on East Norris Road; no violations observed.

7:30 p.m. Officer conducted extra patrol on Powerhouse Way; property checked okay.

Sunday, September 19

12:15 a.m. Officer conducted a business check on Chestnut Drive; property checked okay.

9:28 a.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on West Norris Road; no violations observed.

12:16 p.m. Officer conducted a walk-through business check on West Norris Road; property checked okay.

12:35 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on Dairy Pond Road; no violations observed.

3:00 p.m. Officer initiated a traffic stop on Norris Freeway; warning issued.

6:55 p.m. Officer conducted extra patrol on Powerhouse Way; property checked okay.

9:04 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Andersonville Highway; property checked okay.

9:33 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Chestnut Drive; property checked okay.

Monday, September 20

6:55 a.m. A Norris resident reported that a man was sleeping under the trees on West Norris Road near Dale Road. Police checked the area and located the man on foot near Crescent Road. The subject stated he was homeless and was traveling the country on foot. After he checked out okay, he was provided a ride to the city limits.

12:41 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement on East Norris Road; no violations observed.

1:14 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Andersonville Highway; property checked okay.

1:42 p.m. Officer conducted a business check on Acuff Lane; property checked okay.

2:52 p.m. Officer conducted traffic enforcement in the school zone.

9:23 p.m. A complainant called NPD to advise of a disturbance on Pine Road. NPD arrived on scene and found the argument was between members of the residence and verbal only. Proper action was advised.

11:39 p.m. A complainant called NPD to report a tree hanging over the road near the weir dam. An officer arrived on scene and notified TDOT.
