Gentiva Hospice is currently looking for new volunteers in Knoxville and surrounding counties. Our organization provides hospice care to residents who reside either in a long-term facility or in their own home. We are looking for a few more compassionate people who would be interested in providing companionship visits a couple of times a month. This is a very flexible volunteer opportunity regarding time commitment, and we would provide training and ongoing education.

Some things that volunteers can do with patients—read, talk, watch tv, do arts and crafts projects, light housekeeping, etc. Volunteers are for companionship and socialization; we do not provide any hands-on care.

We are confident this is a wonderful opportunity to provide compassionate service to members of our community during a difficult time.
